Other Washington, DC Improv Spots!
DC is lucky to have a number of other great improv institutions operating within it's city limits. Here are a few of the most popular:
Washington Improv Theater (WIT)
Founded in 1986 (and dormant for only a few years since) the Washington Improv Theater (WIT) offers a wide range of improv comedy classes for aspiring comedians, actors and writers. WIT also offers over 300 individual improv performances every year, but those performances often come in seasons, so be sure to check out their website before just swinging by for a performance:
Mostly a stand up venue, DC Improv as recently become more of a spot for actual improv. Improv, classes, shows and workshops are now offered along wit sketch and tand up classes. Far and away, however, this is the place to go to check out a great comedy set! See their schedule below:
If you are looking for a class in improv not in DC but just outside of it, Reflex is your spot. Offering classes in Annapolis, Falls Church, Leesburg, Fairfax, Loudon County, Reston, Maryland and the larger Nortern Virginia footprint, the one place Reflex won't teach you improv comedy in is DC itself!
