It is with great pleasure that The Radical Agreement Project Announces the cast list for new Practice Improv Program (or PIP) teams. The people on this list represent the best and most dedicated improv students at The Radical Agreement Project, willing to commit to a weekly practice with a coach and to performing on Sunday nights two to three times a month.
Without further ado, the new teams are……

The Omega Fences (starter name)
Faith

Polygenic Fluorite Tone (starter name)
Sarah Haggert
Robert Begley
Chris Ho
Jeff Wrightson
Leslie Crompton
Jules Fitzsimons
Afsaneh Moradian

The Loafer Flow (starter name)
Cali Hatem
Layla O

The Great Seam (starter name)
Sally
Jess Co
Bailey
Rob
These teams will represent RA for the next 4 months (or so). I wanted to get these out a little earlier, but I didn’t! So performances will begin in mid February (2/16) instead of early February. And run through mid June. Applications for new teams will open in June and be announced in July.
First performances will be on 2/16 & 2/23, mark the dates in your calendar, please. And there will be an all community meeting preceding the first shows on 2/16.
Teams should square a few things away with these announcements. Listed in what I consider the most reasonable order, those things are…
Pick a new name to replace your starter name
Pick a time of week when all performers can meet for a 90 minute practice
Pick a coach
Pick a person to collect money and pay your coach and have that person contact me to go over best practices
If you are a new team member without a bio page on the RA site, please get me a photo and a bio pronto! That's a lot of o.
Practices should begin some time in the next ten days. It is okay to play the field a little with coaches. You should try to pick your permanent coach in the next 2-4 practices and that coach should be free to coach you at the weekly time you have selected. Just because you have a permanent coach doesn’t mean you won’t need a sub here or there and you can also add special practices in addition to your weekly practice to work with people, if you want to.
I’ve sent suggested coaches to teams and here is a list of 6 coaches I think it would be neat if you worked with. However, you can work with any you want to as long as they have taught at a different respectable improv theater (my choice on what counts as respectable, just check) or have come up through RA classes and have been approved.
The five suggested coaches are:
Murph McHugh
You need to pay your coaches for their time. You pay your coaches directly (you don’t pay me and I see none of that sweet, sweet cash) and they determine what their rates are. What they charge should be part of your decision making process, however, I believe it should work out to be around $5-10 per person per week.
Hey, because RA offers so many free classes we attract a lot of people for whom that $5-10 is a lot. So they won’t pay, it should still work out to be just $5-10 a week, if I know Math (and I was a theater major, so yes, I KNOW Math). That’s why I am asking for whoever is going to pay the coach to reach out to me, so I can help figure out that process.
Finally, the starter names are all Anagrams of popular improv sayings like YES AND. First person to figure out the original improv phrases of the four anagrams wins a free class! If you think you know one or all of them, put them in the comments below.
Thank you, Terry for creating this opportunity!
Lucky folks!

The Omega Fencers is Game of the Scene.
The loafer flow is Follow the fear.
This blog post is a very beautful sight to see! Proof that we're building on the foundation that you started Terry! Looking at all these names connected with the RA Family, makes me feel so happy.
