Dean Harris

We are delighted to introduce Dean Harris, a highly skilled improv instructor with over two decades of experience. Since beginning his journey in 1996, Dean has honed their craft to an exceptional level, spending the past 10 years teaching and mentoring others in the art of

improv. Known for his unique ability to engage and captivate audiences.

Dean’s expertise is grounded in the world-renowned UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) style, with a particular focus on the 'game of the scene' technique. He has refined his skills under the guidance of esteemed UCB alumni, including Terry Withers, Will Hines, Jim Woods, Billy Merritt, Shannon O'Neil, Sarah Claspell, and Jake Regal. Dean has also trained with the World's Greatest Improv School, further solidifying his mastery in comedic timing,

scene initiation, and heightening.

As the creative director and founding member of the esteemed Wallflowers improv comedy troupe, Dean brings a wealth of practical, real-world experience to their teaching. His proficiency in both short-form and long-form improv has captivated audiences in Lancaster

and beyond. This extensive hands-on experience has deepened his understanding of stage dynamics, ensemble work, and the nuances of delivering truly memorable performances.

Most recently, Dean showcased his talents at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe in the

Spontedeity improv show. In addition to their his performances, Dean is a regular cast member on two improvised podcasts, 'Podcast Town' and 'Rabbit Hole' both available on Spotify and directed by the esteemed Billy Merritt. He has also contributed their expertise as an instructor with the Radical Agreement Project online improv school.

Teaching improv is Dean’s true passion. He is deeply committed to sharing the transformative power of improv with others.
